Last week the eight of us English Teachers here in Buan, South Korea headed to the city of Jeonju for a workshop/day out. We were taken to a studio where we got to decorate our own tradition Korean fans, taken on a tour of the old portraits of the Kings, toured a gorgeous vintage camera museum and finally out for a lovely dinner. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
Here are a few snaps of the day (don't you love Farmboy's caterpillar fan?)
I love following the American lifestyle blog A Beautiful Mess which follows the lives of the lovely Elsie & Emma. These creatives recently launched an amazing photo app for download on the Itunes store. The app comes with fourteen cute photo border options, lots of sweet doodles and phrases and a stack of fonts to customize your photographs. Its such a steal at 99c. That covers a lot of the goodies in the app, but to get more options, you need to pay a little extra for each extra set of fonts/borders/doodles.
Here are some of my creations, using original photographs as well as Instagram snaps...I love it! So easy to use and super quick to create gorgeous customized images.
Have any of you tried this app before?

A few photographs with my new camera of our drive to the farm last weekend. With this kind of late afternoon wintery light, how can one resist not pulling over and snapping away...
After getting my new camera {a Nikon d300s} and needing to get to grips with all the new buttons and levers, i decided to try it out on our favourite new kitchen piece.
I now present to you, our Le Creuset Coffee Plunger.
Coffee will never be the same again...
I also had to squeeze in a few shots of the rest of our collection (thanks mainly to the very generous guests at
last year!)
You can get your paws on other lovely Le Creuset pieces online directly from the Le Creuset online store by clicking here, or through Yuppiechef.
And they both deliver for free...score!
Happy shopping!

A little while ago I posted a sneak peek of Melah Rose, just to give you a little hint. Here are the rest of a delightful morning spent with this gorgeous little one. She belongs to a dear friend of mine, Carmen, who is also a co-owner at Little Vintage {a boutique vintage clothing store} right here in Pietermaritzburg}. I hope you enjoy these photographs, and I look forward to doing many more!

I took these photographs a little while ago for a friend & client...we had such fun fiddling & styling the mannequin with tape measures and patterns, and I'm thrilled that she was happy with the outcome.
A long weekend spent collecting eggs (the chocolate and the savoury kind), eating said eggs, watching copious amounts of television, doing no physical activity and spending time with special people.
I hope your Easter weekend was just grand!
Some cute little creatures from Sharon Montrose.
Happy Easter friends and family. Be safe over the holidays...and after all your tummies are full of chocolate and hot cross buns, take a moment to remember the real meaning behind Easter..."He is Risen" Matthew 28:6 xxx
This little cutie is Ayla-Grace, daughter of Veronica & Jared. Isn't she such a sweetie?
We had a lot of fun, even though it was pretty hard work getting this little one to smile :)
Thank you Ayla-Grace for being so patient and understanding, even with a big black camera in your face all afternoon...
I have been staggering the photo's from our honeymoon {new readers: we got married on the 23rd September 2012 on my hubby's family dairy farm, Click here to see some of the professional pic's and click here to see the preparation and other wedding related posts}, so as not to bore people with them (and to give me enough time to sort through all 3000 images!) and I am finally done.
For our trip, we flew from Durban to Johannesburg, Johannesburg > Istanbul (click here) Istanbul > Athens (click here) and finally Athens > Santorini where we spent 7 nights in an incredible old winery converted into a villa. The last part of our trip was a ferry ride to the island of Naxos where we spent our last few days before making the 40 hour trip back to Durban.
Here are a few highlights...enjoy! xxx
And we {shared} the backpack responsibilities! That blue backpack is all we took for 2 weeks! I am mightily impressed with myself for being able to pack to light
Greece, we loved every second of you!

I’m Roxy & I’m so excited that you’re here. Welcome to my {pretty} little corner of the world wide web.
CGS is a lifestyle blog, where I share all sorts of posts from pregnancy, to life with (3) babies on a dairy farm, to makeup & skincare reviews. I was also a #clothnappy addict, and always loved sharing tips and advice on how to start using cloth for your babes. I’m also very into making my own Kombucha and yoghurt, and I swear by a strict routine and no sugar or processed carbs in your little one’s diet…I share tips & recipes for how you can do the same. Finally, I also love sharing more about blogging & tips for running a creative business.
So get comfy, grab a cup of tea and & make yourself at home.
