Ryan & Liesa {Wedding}

On Saturday 2nd March, Farmboy and I headed off to the Crab Apple Chapel in Dargyl (in the Midlands) to celebrate the marriage of two very special people. The reception was held at The Cairn of Old Kilgobbin, a gorgeous country style venue with lots of love and soul.
Ryan & Liesa Rollin are the beauty and brains behind the antique cutlery jewelry brand and shop in Howick, called Rollin Vintage.
With their creative flair and appreciation for all things vintage, their wedding was absolutely beautiful.

Here are a few photographs of the day...{not too many of them as I will be giving those more personal ones to them as their wedding present}.

Candy & Clyde say I do...

A few photographs of Candy & Clydes wedding that took place in early January in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The weather did not cooperate (being Zim we were all prepared for mid to high temperatures of 35C and upwards! But instead got rain and clouds for three days!).
Even still, it was such a special occasion, one filled with love and laughter and lots of God.
Candy & Clyde, it was such an honour to be there at your wedding, thank you for having us!
{I have just started a new Facebook page as a way of showcasing some of my photography...the name of it is RoxyPictures. I'd love it if you stopped over there and said hello...click here to visit RoxyPictures}

Farm Snaps...

A few snaps from our lovely relaxing weekend on Farmboy's family dairy farm!

{I hope you like my new branding & watermark! I have gone from CityGirlSearching Photography to RoxyPictures! You can see more of my work on my Facebook page here}

{Roadtrip} to Zimbabwe

Early January, Farmboy & I headed off on a road trip to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe for two very special friends wedding. Farmboy had very limited leave, so it was a very quick trip (well as fast as 1200 k's there and another 1200 k's back can be).

After getting all our documents sorted (gosh there are so many details to have sorted when crossing the Zim border!) we were on our way!
After hearing horrific things about the Beit Bridge border post, we went through Botswana, and into Zim through Plumtree. We had no issues at either of the borders, and apart from my car battery dying on the way back and having to push start every time we stopped, the trip went off without a hitch.

Nothing like exploring a bit of Africa...

Viresh & Khema {Engagement}

Here are some of the photo's I took for a lovely couple to celebrate their recent engagement. As Viresh attended the University of Kwazulu-Natal, we thought it would make the perfect backdrop for their shoot.

Viresh and Khema, it was such a pleasure working with you both...you made my job so easy with your warm smiles and abounding love for each other. Farmboy and I wish you all the very best as you embark on the wonderful journey of marriage together!
Thank you for picking me.

Thinking of {Greece}

It's been nearly 3 months since our honeymoon in Greece, and also nearly 3 months of being married (click here to see posts about our wedding)...gosh time really does fly when you're having fun!

Here are a few highlights from our Honeymoon trip to Athens, Santorini & Naxos in October this year.

A little bit of beach...

Here in South Africa we had a lovely long weekend (a great way for some of the country to get started on their Christmas holidays!). Unfortunately, my hubby has to work until Friday. But thats only 3 sleeps away...yippee!

We spent the long weekend at Zinkwazi Beach (just up the North Coast, a little but further up North from Ballito).

Here are a few snaps from our time away

Dillon & Michelle {Wedding}

A few weekends back Farmboy and I headed to Joburg to celebrate two very special friends as they said {I do} at the Moon & Sixpence in Muldersdrift.
Dillon & Michelle had an awesome wedding blog, which they updated with their recent adventures, accomodation tips and a whole post on the bridal party! Dillon, being a computer wizz, did the whole thing himself...have a squizz here
The day was filled with much love, laughter and friends...thank you Dillon & Michelle for having is be a part of your special day!

And how amazing was her bouquet?! Handmade by the bride herself...skills!

NeighbourGoods Market {Braamfontein}

{Following the success of the Cape Town market, the Johannesburg edition was launched in 2011 in the vibrant neighbourhood of Braamfontein, Johannesburg. In keeping with our commitment to urban regeneration, we chose a venue in the heart of the inner city. The market takes place over two floors of 73 Juta Street, a Johannesburg landmark building featuring a large scale concrete facade by Edoardo Villa. The second floor features an extensive rooftop area with views over the city}

A little exploring around the city centre and you might find yourself at the funky Neighbourgoods Market. Filled to the brim with delicious treats and, go hungry!

Camping in the Bush

This past weekend, Farmboy and our friends Cayleigh and Byron headed off to Bonamanzi Game Reserve {a two hour drive from Ballito} for some camping, birding, and general relaxing. This was of course after watching the preview of Twilight at Gateway {the best of the series!!}.

I spent most of the time reading, while the rest of the gang spotted and identified a multitude of majestic winged creatures. Me and Mr Stephen King had some catching up to do :)

An {engagement} tea party

Last weekend we celebrate the recent engagement of our dear friends Ryan And Liesa (who own the awesome Rollin Vintage and Friends store in Howick...click here to see some pic's of the store).

Farmboy and I were there to chink glasses with the happy couple and wish them all the best for their wedding...What a happy day!

The lovely couple

Andrew & Bianca {Wedding}

A few weekends ago Farmboy and I headed off to Balito to celebrate our sister (well, our sister-in-law's sister, so I guess that makes her our sister too?!...geewizz family titles sure do get complicated!) at Collisheen Estate.

It rained, and rained, and rained the whole day...but the clouds gave the entire celebration a very romantic ambiance.
Here are some photographs from the day...

Rollin Vintage & Friends {Howick}

After a tiring Saturday morning spent stand up paddling with Ryan & Liesa, we headed on over to their shop Rollin Vintage & Friends to see how the shop has been coming along. And all I can say is wow! I first posted about their exciting new venture into realm of retail in May this year (click here to see where they started off) and I can only say that the shop is booming and looking absolutely fantastic!
In their own words:
"Rollin Vintage & Friends grew out of an appreciation for Proudly South African, hand crafted, recycled goods.

As our personal business Rollin Vintage grew, we wanted to expand our horizons and venture forth into the retail world. We bumped heads with consignment, mark ups, bad attitudes and service toward our product. One morning Ryan woke up with an idea that changed all of this for us.To start a shop where we could represent the crafter, selling their items at their prices and on their behalf, giving them the best service and value for money - Rollin Vintage & Friends was born.

We have sourced products which meet one or all of the following criteria - being hand crafted, proudly South African and Recycled. We want to promote crafters who are taking a chance on their skill and living their passion - doing what they love"

Here are a few snaps from the store, click here to see more!
