PrettyPopUp event - Cape Town
A few weeks ago I held my first ever pop up event in Cape Town as a meet and greet to celebrate the pre-launch of my the CGScreative.
Although I am based near Pietermaritzburg, I have a lot of readers in Cape Town whom I was very excited to meet up with in person.
These #PrettyPopUp events are a way of sharing more of the CGScreative brand with people, and are a wonderful way to connect in person, while building relationships & connections outside of the online world.
The CGScreative is the new name and brand under which my blog (CityGirlSearching) now lives, as well as the umbrella for my photography offerings and services.
I offer brand and stock photography for business owners, creating custom made photographs for any and all lines of business.
As my business is built on capturing photographs, I enlisted the The Holloway Shop to create a flower wall backdrop for the event. The flower wall was everything I hoped it would be and more, and made the perfect back drop for the portraits I took of everyone who came along.
If you're looking for flowers for a special event (like your wedding, kitchen tea, birthday or even just a beautiful bouquet) then Storm Ross from The Holloway Shop is your lady. She is incredible with flowers and her work is so unique. Click here to see more of her bouquets in action, and to see a little behind the scenes of her foraging for flowers.
Here are a few of the portraits I took during the event. You can see more of them over on my Facebook Page by clicking here.
A huge thank you to Zana, Rowdy Bags, Lulu & Marula, Sentiens Yoga Mats and Melissa Louise Soy Candles for sponsoring the raffle gifts on the day. The beautiful gifts below formed part of a fun raffle I did throughout the event, and allowed me to share a little more local talent with my readers.
I also want to give a very special mention & thank you to The Creamery hosting us in their gorgeous ice cream parlour. It was a pleasure to deal with all of the staff on the day, and everyone kept raving about the waffles and banana splits!
Such a lovely space!
Another thank you to Dillon of Dillon Kin Photography for the following photographs of the day.
Dillon managed to capture such great behind the scenes shots of the venue, and I'm so thankful for him for these images. I am especially happy to that Dillon even got a snap of my pup, Shadow who was very well behaved outside during the event. Dillon specialises in weddings, and although based in Cape Town, is available for travel worldwide.
And the biggest thank you has to go to all the wonderful people who joined me on the day to share in the pre-launch of CGScreative. It was just such a wonderful opportunity to meet online friends and readers, and to do so in a very relaxed and happy way.
I will definitely be hosting more Pretty Pop Up events in the near future, so keep an eye on my Facebook page to know when I'll be in a city near you!
As always, thank you to you, my readers, for supporting me in my business journey. I appreciate you and am delighted to have you along.
